Happy New Year! There is something invigorating about that pristine calendar. Nothing crossed off yet. Clean, white pages just waiting!
Holidays are already printed there! Then, do you first put the fun trips and family events that will make the New Year wonderful? What is already written on yours?
There is something helpful about remembering what the last year held. The good? The crazy? The sad? The, “why, oh why did I do that?” We all have some of those, right?
We always take a look back at our blog—and it is fun to see what recipes you liked the best. Which recipes got lots of second looks and shares? What do you think they were?
Here are our top three most popular recipes from 2016. (Talk about a close election—the top three are separated by less than 50 views!)
The most popular recipe from 2016—Cappuccino cake! This frosting takes the cake and tops your chocolate cake with WOW! Look at that picture and just imagine serving it for a special birthday celebration!
#2 Cappuccino chocolate chip mini muffins We agree, they are great! Let’s see–breakfast next weekend?
# 3—Cheesy Corn Cornbread The perfect comfort food accompaniment to chili, soup or stew on a cold day. Yes, please!
So, that brings us to an important question. What do you want to see in 2017? What recipes are you just dying to get? What do you want to cook in 2017 or what food do you want to read about? Let us know and we will deliver! (Well, not deliver the actual dish, unless of course, you live next door and then we will talk.) Do you want a specific chocolate dessert—or maybe an array of appetizers? Healthy or not? Easy dinners or glamorous desserts?
We would love to hear from you, and once we do, we will give it our all and try to share that recipe!
I would love some easy and delicious appetizers. Thanks for asking.
Appetizers are always fun to develop and share. Thank you Judy for your input. We will definitely add appetizers to the list.
I’d love to try recipes from a Mediterranean diet. I love dishes feta, kalamata olives, basil, etc. But I would like to expand into some more recipes that have that Mediterranean or Greek feel.
Thank you Maggie! These are the flavors we love too! You have given us our marching orders and we will plan some recipes that fit into the Mediterranean diet in 2017.
Just wasted you to know, ladies, you are amazing, and I know I’ve worked with you for many years and may just be a teeny bit biased, but you definitely are amazing. But, back to your request: you can post anything you like…I Love it all. Cakes, breakfast, Hors D’Oeuvres, Appetizers, chicken dishes, oh..definitely low carb-high protein please, and anything else. I have some of your books, love them, love you, so continue what you’re doing and know I am one of your favorite fans! Xxx
Thank you so very much for your support and kind words! We have enjoyed our years working with you too and miss you immensely.
