We really are Plugged Into Cooking!
As cookbook authors, bloggers, food writers and culinary teachers we share our passion for cooking and family dinners, communicating clear directions and revealing skills and tips sharpened by years of test kitchen experience. Follow us here, on our blog, www.pluggedtocooking.com, and on The Kansas City Star’s Chow Town blog.
We are close friends and have worked together for many years, so now we are eager to share our recipes with you. We are real cooks—we both have to get dinner on the table on crazy busy nights just like you. We also love to build our family traditions and memories by icing the cookies and stirring the gravy. We just happen to have the experience and the expertise to help you fix great, easy dinners for your family.
Publications!
Take a look at some of the articles and cookbooks we have written and some of the publications in which we have contributed recipes.
Come Into My Kitchen, a column in The Kansas City Star
We invite you into the kitchen to meet a local cook in this regular bi-weekly column for The Kansas City Star newspaper. The original column began more than 60 years ago and we are truly honored to take over the reins and co-author this column.
For each column, we visit with one home cook in the Kansas City metro area and ask them to share one recipe from their own collection or recipe box. We ask for something they really enjoy serving to their family and friends. The paper takes a picture of the individual. It is wonderful to meet the local cooks and we feel such a connection as they share their kitchen and food story with us.
To find the article visit The Kansas City Star on Wednesday or visit the Chow Town food blog.
If you want to be featured in this column or know someone who would be perfect, email us at kccomeintomykitchen@gmail.com.
