Glazed Orange Pound Cake Recipe

Posted by Kathy on April 21, 2015

I suddenly had an obsession for a cake out of my past and realized it was perfect for this time of year. So, I baked it, loved it and then I could hardly wait to share it with you.

For some reason, citrus flavors like orange and lemon are great flavors when the weather cannot make up its mind if it is winter or summer. Potato Salad

Posted by Roxanne on April 14, 2015

Potato Salad
Potato salad–do those words bring a smile and cause you to pause and fondly remember days gone by? Hot Cross Buns
The special day is finally near! Easter is a week away and that means rituals and recipes that are rich with tradition in our home.

Each Easter morning begins with Hot Cross Buns. These are always served with dyed Easter eggs, fresh fruit and orange juice. This is always the way we begin our special day. It is indeed a glorious day. Yes, of course, the big Easter dinner will take place much later in the day but the day will be off to a grand start with this traditional breakfast. [Read more…]

Pineapple Upside Down Cake Photo

It is funny how we are captured by tastes from our past. They seem to never leave us, even when we push them aside.

Pineapple upside down cake is one of those ghosts from my past. Long past. [Read more…]
