Turtle Candies

Posted by Roxanne on February 9, 2015

Love was truly a celebration during my college years but then my love boat crashed and quite frankly, I wasn’t sure I would ever celebrate Valentine’s day the same way again much less get my boat afloat. Alas, there is a happy ending. After many hits and misses, I met my true love on a commercial airplane (I gave up on boats!). Seat mates who became forever intertwined.

More than 24 years of love later, I thought I would see if my true love truly knew me well. I mentioned that Valentine’s Day was just around the corner and that I would give him the acronym for what my heart desired. [Read more…]

Greek Style Chicken

Soups are no longer appealing as dinnertime choices since the weather in the midwest has been unseasonable warm and dry. We had so many great experiences that I hope to capture in the months to come and share with you.

One day that stands out in my mind, and one that I just can’t quite shake the memory of, was my lunch that I enjoyed at Eataly. I happened to be by myself before a business meeting and happened upon this food lovers mecca.

I decided to enjoy lunch and indeed it was quite an experience. [Read more…]

The Newlywed Cookbook

We have a blessing to announce today! Our newest cookbook, The Newlywed Cookbook, cooking happily ever after is here! Ya hoo! We had such fun creating recipes for today’s couples, married or not! The recipes are designed to make cooking a joint, pleasurable experience. Last January began with many days in the photo studio styling the food photos with the expert guidance of David Shaughnessy. We had such fun prepping, tasting and sipping our way through the process. Then with the magic wand of the design team of St. Martin’s Press, voila a beautiful book for you to enjoy. I can’t think of a better way to start a new life together. [Read more…]
