We are up and running and ready for your orders! We have had great success at our retail venues and the holiday shows proved to be exciting for all. Lots of folks found the answer for that hard to buy for friend and relative this Christmas.
We couldn’t be happier and are thrilled to announce that you can now order online. Just click here.
But wait–did you see those photos? We want to take a moment and give credit where credit is due. We want to thank Kristen Doyle for her photography. Do you know Kristen at Dine and Dish? If not, you need to read her blog right now. You will learn very soon what an amazing woman Kristen is. She wrote the handbook on how to mentor and is truly one of the nicest, most supportive person you could ever meet. Thank you Kristen for taking beautiful photos for us!
We want to let you know again the best tips for success:
Tips for Successful Slow Cooker Baking
*These mixes bake best in slow cookers that were purchased in the last 5 to 8 years or less. “Older” slow cookers are not as hot and the mixes may take longer to bake.
*The 7-inch springform pan typically fits in most 5 to 7 quart round or oval slow cookers. (we sell this too!)
*Always set the cake pan on an aluminum foil ring. Easy peasy to make the ring, just take 18 to 24 inches of aluminum foil and roll, then form a ring. Place in the bottom of your slow cooker.
*Refrigerate any leftover cheesecakes or the carrot cake with the cream cheese frosting. (We seriously doubt that you will have leftovers!) In fact, if you are serving a cheesecake, it should not set out at room temperature longer than 2 hours.
Now hurry, don’t wait to get your orders in and we will get your cake mixes shipped for the holidays. If you leave in the Kansas City area, you can purchase our mixes at Cockrell Mercantile Company, Pryde’s Old Westport, A Thyme for Everything in Lee’s Summit and Ann Lund’s Dining in Style, The Culinary Center of Kansas City, and The Pot Rack, in Leavenworth.
